my kids would rather not eat

the other day as jp and i were walking to the bus stop on 5th, we were stopped by someone asking for change. she told me she needed money to feed her kids that night. i rifled through my bag and my pockets, but turned up no money. jp was on the phone and about 15 feet away at this point and i yelled to him for change. he had nothing. so i asked the woman if she knew where the jubilee soup kitchen was on 5th. she told me that her kids didn't like the food there, and that they wouldn't eat it. she walked away pissed.

by the way, i think it might have been the forever pregnant lady from oakland. anyone else remember her? she never got any more pregnant over the 5 years i was at pitt....strange.
